BudBurst in SoCal

In 2008, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's (USFWS) Ventura Fish & Wildlife Office established a Connecting People to Nature Program within their area of responsibility in central and southern California to provide meaningful, enjoyable experiences for people of all ages in the outdoors that foster a conservation ethic and support the mission of the USFWS. The partnership between Project BudBurst and the Ventura Fish & Wildlife Office provides additional resources to expand the reach of both programs. Collaboration between Project BudBurst and Ventura Fish & Wildlife Office allows an opportunity to mutually explore the advantages of combining web based resources with the ‘face to face – in person' education and outreach efforts currently undertaken by the Ventura Fish & Wildlife Office's Connecting People with Nature Program.
