Canada goldenrod has many tiny yellow flowers in terminal clusters (all the flowers are at the top of the plant). It can grow 1 to 2 ft in height and the leaves alternate along the stem.
Like many goldenrods, Canada goldenrod can spread rapidly through rhizomes. If you look closely at the leaves, you will see three prominent veins. This is referred to as "triple-nerved". The leaves are also covered with fine hairs. Canada goldenrod generally flowers from July to October.
