Phenology observation

Needle Emergence
MIDDLE EARLY FIRST NONE
First Needles
New needles emerging from tips of buds or visible from the side of the buds on three or more branches.
Notes
This needle emergence was happening on the very lowest branches of this tree. I didn't see much happening on the rest of the tree. There is a very small Doug fir seedling in the rock garden in front of our house, and it is putting out new needles. That is what gave me the idea to check this big tree in the back corner of our lot.
