Did you know?
Sand lovegrass is a warm-season bunchgrass. According to the USDA, the leaf rolls inward under dry conditions, giving it a threadlike appearance. The individual florets of the lovegrass are purplish with a yellow glume. Because the florets are very tiny, it is often best to observe them with a small magnifying glass or hand lens.
