Kalm's lobelia can be found in wet habitats such as bogs, wet meadows, and rocky shorelines; it prefers calcareous soil or cracks between limestone rocks.
Identification hints
A short wildflower, Kalm's lobelia sometimes grows up to 16 inches tall. The leaves are narrow and alternate. Blossoms occur from July through October. The flowers are irregular, blue with white centers, and grow on spikes.
