HABITAT
Native to coastal hammocks, dunes, and beaches.

Evergreen leaves are round, broad and leathery, 8-12" long and wide, appearing one at a time along the stem (alternate).
Flowers
Small white flowers are inconspicuous, borne in loose clusters on a long slender stalk.
Fruits
Round, 1" long fleshy fruits are borne in a cluster on a long slender stalk, becoming purplish blue when ripe, andresembling grapes.
Bark
Bark is thin and easily damaged.
