Identification hints
Reaches 3-4 feet, with white woolly hair everywhere but on the flowers. Thick stems bend or run along the ground with milky sap. Mature plants can have multiple stems.

Although found in the central Coast Ranges, the southern Sierra Nevada, and the Transverse and Peninsular Ranges, it is largely absent from the Central Valley.

Leaves
Leaves opposite and sessile, covered densely with hair. 2-7" long x 1-3" wide
Flowers
Flowers lavender, deep purple, or pink, in pendulous umbels each with about 10 flowers per umbel. No horns present, and the petals are reflexed backwards.
