The Houston Botanic Garden is 132 acre living museum of plants. Situated on a former golf-course, and surrounded by Sims Bayou, it is an urban oasis for biodiversity, which serves the Greater Houston area and all who wander here. We believe in Enriching life through discovery, education, and the conservation of plants, and the natural environment.
The Houston Botanic Garden’s cultivated gardens and natural areas support a huge diversity of pollinators and other insects. We want to do everything we can to help our visitors understand their value and contribute data to the scientific community. We also want to use our platform to raise awareness about climate change and its effect on our native flora and fauna.
Becoming a part of Budburst is easy—and important. When we all contribute to conservation efforts like this one, we’re one step closer to preserving the planet we share.
