Silver Lake Nature Center is a 235-acre "natural treasure" in the southern portion of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It's a place where lush foliage, accessible wetlands and rich woodlands abound. The grounds are maintained to enhance the diversity of plant and animal life and include 4.5 miles of nature trails. Through education, recreation, research and advocacy, our goal is to inspire students of all ages with the wonder and beauty of the natural world and to preserve the priceless heritage of Silver Lake and its watershed for generations to come. Our newest demonstration project, an "Earthship", when completed will be a 'living' classroom constructed from recycled materials that heats and cools itself.
