Temple Ambler Arboretum and Field Station is located 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia, PA. The 187-acre Ambler Campus represents a mix of natural and designed landscapes. Visitors can explore manicured gardens, woodlands, meadows, and wetland ecosystems. For over a century the Ambler campus has been a community leader in research and education as both a campus of Temple and as its forerunner, the historically significant Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women. Today the Temple Ambler Arboretum and Field Station continues this legacy by encouraging diversity in science and sustainability in the greater Philadelphia community.
As a platform for research, education, and outreach, the Temple Ambler Arboretum and Field Station actively monitor ecological characteristics of our local environments. We encourage our community to join us in this research through our citizen science projects. By participating in Project Budburst, you can help us understand how our local ecosystems are experiencing global change.
Becoming a part of Budburst is easy—and important. When we all contribute to conservation efforts like this one, we’re one step closer to preserving the planet we share.
